After bumping around the globe living the life of a military wife, I am finally back where I started on the west coast of British Columbia. I live high on a hill with a fine view of the sea, in the small town of Sechelt. All my foreign experiences, valued friends and ventures into art education seem to be nudging me into new creative fields. With each class I am producing better pottery. My writing group encourages me to push my books into print. I teach others the glories of freedom painting. Every moment could be posited with possibilities.
Artist Statement:
If I don't make some kind of art I can get very cranky. I work in watercolours for transparency of pigment and the challenge to be found in immediacy. I shift to acrylics for control and shape-shifting. The shifting continues as I work to get the images that pester my mind onto paper or canvas. The paintings owe much to process painting.
